Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
 | Jeremy Sprott rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:
The nose has sour cherry, peppery spices, along with cedar, leather and meaty notes. The sour cherry, pepper and herbaceous notes are front and centre when tasted. While I found this to be lighter than other Ripasso wines, it was pleasant on its own and had enough body and good acidity that allowed it to stand up nicely to a robust tomato based meat sauce. |
 | This superb Ripasso is a perennial favourite with Vintages customers. Fruit-forward, with complex notes of cherry, herbs, and cranberry masterfully integrated with spicy pepper and meat notes. Dry and medium-full bodied with a flavourful and lingering finish. The upfront style makes this a very pleasant sipping wine. |
