Vintages Wine Panel: This rich, warm Negroamaro is a terrific example of how modern winemaking techniques can fuse with traditional Italian grape varieties to make an extraordinary wine. Sourced from very old vines, this beauty features concentrated flavors of ripe fleshy plums, cherry and licorice, supported by vibrant acidity and some grippy tannins on the long finish. A Silver Medal winner at the New World Wine Show 2008 in New Zealand. My note: A juicy, purple-plum red with generous layers of flavor and texture. Full-bodied and lip-smacking delicious. Perfect for pizza night. Food matches: grilled steaks, game meats.
