Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: Meloni Vini has established a reputation as one of the leading quality producers on the island of Sardinia. Cannonau is the Sardinian word for Grenache (the Southern Rhône mainstay grape). Expect notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, wood-spice and light smoke. This organic wine has only 15 mg/l of free sulphur. My note: Savoury, tart and rustic with notes of black cherry and cedar. Medium- to full-bodied. Great wine to bring to a potluck gathering of environmentalists. Food matches: mildly spiced barbecued chicken wings, gourmet burgers.
