Tasting note:

Balanced and plush with a full-bodied and supple texture. Very attractive aromas of blueberry, spice, smoke and field berries. Very nice!

I liked last year’s release of Maxwell Four Roads and while I like this 2008 (very) slightly less, I’d still be more than happy to buy and drink this. Juicy. Fruity. Generous in what it has to offer. It tastes of ripe raspberries and tar, spice and earth. It’s quite tight with tannin at this early stage of its life, though it should soften relatively quickly. This is a wine with nice flavour and nice proportion. Score: 90 Source: Campbell Mattinson, winefront.com.au
