Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
 | Production for this single-vineyard Amarone is very limited. It hails from the sunny and verdant 2004 vintage – a year in which the best wines, such as this, were the result of careful yield control. This Mazzano was aged for three years in oak and a further six months in bottle. Its bouquet of cinnamon, spiced plums, chocolate, figs and dried fruits resounds splendidly on the full-bodied palate and lingers on the long finish. Enjoy this robust wine with red meats, richly flavoured foods and strong cheeses, or cellar for 10-20 years. DH |
