Tasting note:

Terrific black fruit aromas and espresso notes on the nose and palate. Some anise and pepper on the finish. Lushly weighted and fulsome with lots of layers of pleasure. Pair with herbed chicken or brisket. Food matches: slow-roasted rump roast with root vegetables.

In southern Italy, Nero d’Avola has risen to fame for making superior quality premium wines. Perhaps no place does it better than Sicily. This one features aromas of cherry, ripe raspberry, vanilla and black plum. Dry, full-bodied and flavourful with plenty of fruit (especially the raspberry). It is also beautifully soft and lush.
