Marchesi di Barolo is one of Piedmont’s most venerable and respected producers. Their wines are classic examples of the region’s style. Lovely crimson-ruby colour. Subtle yet powerfully complex nose of anise, raspberry pie, cherries, chocolate, pine tar and forest floor. Dry, medium-full bodied, smooth and exceptionally refined without being austere. Red fruit and woodsy notes take the melody here, with a myriad of spices singing harmony. Long, luxuriously smooth finish. So nice. Enjoy over the next 5+ years. Source: Vintages Wine Panel
