Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
 | The vines from which this remarkably commanding Gevrey-Chambertin were sourced range from 42 to 72 years of age. Information like this is listed on the back label. Good bright red. Raspberry, licorice, crushed rock and a hint of tar on the nose. Sappy and suave, with mouthfilling texture and excellent energy to the dark fruit and mineral flavors. An impressively large-scaled, even powerful, village wine with a broad, long finish featuring substantial spicy tannins. Score: 89-92 Source: Steve Heimoff, Vintages Wine Catalogue |
