Luigi Righetti Campolieti Ripasso Valpolicella Classico Superiore 2007
Tasting note:
Vintages Wine Panel: ‘Campolieti’ means ‘happy fields’, a very appropriate name considering the high quality of grapes used in the wine. Only ‘happy vines’ could produce wines this good. Righetti’s ripe, rich and fruity Ripasso Campolieti is delicious. My note: An easy-going, quaffable wine with deliciously ripe cherries and raspberries. Vibrant juiciness balances beautifully with full-bodied depth of flavour. Terrific! Food matches: lamb, beef dishes.
