Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: Amarone is on every wine lover’s lips these days. This ruby/garnet-colored beauty is sure to keep the romance kindled, with its seductive aromas of chocolate-covered cherries, baking spices, toffee, mocha and leather. Full-bodied, with silky tannins. There’s a suggestion of sweetness on a palate that abounds with ripe cherry, figs and Black Forest cake, all lingering wonder-fully on the long, persistent finish. My note: Rich mocha notes mingle with black plums. Deeply concentrated yet not over-the-top extracted. Nice balance with plush layers of flavors and a long finish. Food matches: slow-roasted lamb, beef, fine aged cheeses.
