Vintages Wine Panel: Le Chiantigiane crafts some of Tuscany’s most popular Chianti; their wines have a very strong following in Italy, and a growing fan base abroad. The winemaking team adds up to 10% Canaiolo Nero to the Sangiovese in this Riserva to achieve the desired soft, velvety texture. Try this supremely food-friendly wine. My note: A juicy, mouth-watering red with rustic satisfying flavors of tart cherries, sun-dried tomato, dried herbs and berries. Perfect for a casual potluck gathering and pizza night. Food matches: pasta dishes with tomato sauce, Bistecca alla Fiorentina (thick-cut steak seasoned with salt, black pepper and olive oil).
