Valerie Stride rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A young, developing Merlot with lots of red and deep dark fruit. Fragrant and rich raspberry, blackberry, and minerality will greet you. Surprisingly, this Merlot doesn't express what a typical Merlot would, namely that big plum factor, and that is what makes this Lagaria so interesting. This wine comes out of northeastern Italy in the Dolomites, which has interesting and varied mountainous landscapes. Thus, the soil types alter the flavour profiles in an intriguing way. Drink now through 2013.
