Very balanced with lovely fleshy dark plums, smoke and a dry, chalky finish. Lots of layers of enjoyment here with a medium- to full-bodied weight.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Strappingly rich blackberry and Italian plum notes on the nose. It paints the sinuses with elements of earth, beet root, dark chocolate and cinnamon. Juicy plum and mulberry-like flavors. Sappy and long but not the least bit ponderous nor heavy. It glides down easily and brings you back for more. Suitable for red sauce pasta, lentil-based preparations or grilled beef. Drink now-2013. Score: 90 DMg
