Tasting note:

Savoury and mouth-watering with dark chocolate, blackberry, cassis, leather and happiness. Good acidity: terrific in wine if you actually want to drink it with food. Terrific craftsmanship here. This would make a memorable dinner party wine or hostess gift. Tastes twice the price. Food matches: lamb, thick slices of rare roast beef, grilled meats.

The nose here certainly offers the complexity expected from a Chianti Classico Riserva. Engaging and bright notes of raspberry and red cherry with leather and menthol. The palate is dry and medium bodied, and fully delivers on the promise of the nose. Wonderful depth of fruit here, with round tannins and excellent acidity keeping everything balanced. Well structured and flavourful throughout, with a long finish. A very good wine at this price. Source: Vintages Wine Panel
