Tasting note:

Some wines you adopt as your own perhaps because you recall where you were (and who you were with) when you first tried them and they knocked your socks off. This is such a wine for me: I really have a soft spot for it. It’s supple, satin with gorgeous ripe cherries and berries. Extraordinary length: almost as long as my memory of that first bottle seven years ago. Food matches: roast duck and spaetzle.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Lori Kilmartin rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is one of my favourite Pinot's from California. Natalie has done a great job in describing what you are in for!
Lovely aromas of ripe field berries and cherries waft from the glass of this semi-transparent ruby wine. It has rich ripe spicy fruit flavours, soft texture, fine acidity and gentle tannin. Balanced and harmonious, it has an extended finish. A very appealing wine. Score: 4 (out of 5) Source: Susan Desjardins, winecurrent.com
