Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Travis Oke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

2 things interest me here ... Mexican wine + Petite Sirah (3 things if you include the price and 4 if you include the fact that it was recommended by my vintages guy).
Complex for an inexpensive wine - the brightness of the fruit his you at the back of the tongue and lingers. I was impressed and will purchase again!
Holly Bruns rated this wine as 83/100 with the following review:

A great example of some bottled Mexican sunshine. Ripe and full on the palate with lots of juicy, dark berry fruit, some minerality, and a little spice on the nose. All together, with the dried fruit and lavender on the long finish, make this a good deal of a wine.
With its fruity nose of berries and oak, it could pass as a Zinfandel. But it’s better balanced than most Zins, with spicy notes that flatter slow-cooked beef and a firm acidity to cut through the fat. Source: thegridto.com, Aug. 8, 2012
