Did you even know that Mexico makes wine? Good ones, my friend. The Guadalupe Valley in Mexico has been touted as the next Napa Valley. Certainly, this producer is helping establish the region’s reputation. I have recommended this wine year after year as one of the best values on the liquor store shelf. Aromas of black plums, game, cedar and vanilla spice. Full-bodied and deliciously chunky. Perfect as your transitional wine from work to evening relaxation. Vintages Wine Panel: The region is known for its Petite Sirah which is making a name for itself here as a stand-alone variety. Dense purple in color, it offers black pepper and tea notes leading to an impressive, well-rounded finish. Food matches: marinated chicken on grill, roast beef, Tandoori-flavored dishes, spicy black bean dishes, steak and cheese enchiladas.
