Kilikanoon The Lackey S Shiraz 2008
Tasting note:
Vintages Wine Panel: One mark of a truly great producer is the ability to evoke the signature quality of their premium bottlings across their complete range. The Lackey is consistently one of Australia’s great-value buys, and this well-priced Shiraz from Kilikanoon offers a tantalizing hint of what can be expected from their more expensive offerings. Full bodied and approachable, with suggestions of rich blackberry, pepper, cedar and chocolate. My note: A savoury and rustic Shiraz with tart blackberries and some plum notes. Full-bodied and smooth. Food matches: spicy ribs, roast leg of lamb.
