Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: This property, originally a cattle ranch, was planted with vineyards in the early 1980s. After several years of supplying quality grapes to local wineries, Sylvester Vineyards took the plunge into winemaking in 1990 and the rest, as they say, is history. Kiara is its premium tier: This well-structured Zin is bursting with ripe boysenberry, raspberry and pomegranate as well as notes of earth and new oak. Perfect for barbecued ribs or kebabs. My note: Perfect blue jeans, weekend wine: supple, comfy and delicious. Notes of ripe blueberries and blackberries. Lovely velvet texture and full-bodied richness. Food matches: ratatouille, roast turkey, barbecue sauces, venison stew, marinated chicken.
