Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: May 22, March 7, January 4 and December 16.

Tasting note:

A pleasant, smooth and full-bodied red at a great price. Aromas of dark fruit, with a round texture. Good party wine. Food matches: red meat, cold meats, variety of cheeses.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
The grapes are harvested when just ripe, destemmed, crushed and fermented for 6 to 12 days at a temperature kept within 32° C and
pressed gently. One part of the wine is matured in oak barrels for about 6 months. The best vintages were blended by the oenologists, resulting in a round and pleasing wine with a fine tannic body and good persistence.

Serve this wine between 60-65 degrees Farenheit or 15-18 degrees Celsius.
