Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: The Ventura family has been involved in the wine industry of the area since 1914, and have been producing their own quality wines since 1985. Their first red wines were released in 1991. The 2008 Negre Selecció de 12 Vinyes offers aromas of black cherry, woodsmoke, red plum and earth. Dry and medium-full bodied, it has substantial ripe tannins, a sweet red-fruit core and nice minerality showing through on the medium-long finish. My note: Juicy, red fruit aromas and flavours with some sour cherry and spices on the finish. Full-bodied and smooth. Savory. Great for meaty dishes. Food matches: slow-cooked roast beef.
