Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: This is a very fine 2008 Meritage (Bordeaux blend) from one of Ontario’s best red-wine producers. Aromas of raspberry, spicy cherry, hickory, autumn leaves and floral are front and centre. Dry and quite fruity at first, but then silky tannins come in at the mid-point bringing ideal balance. Medium-full bodied, medium-long finishing. Cellar it 2-3 years, or enjoy it tonight. My note: Big oak treatment with luscious and plush black plums and berries. A hedonist’s wine to make you happy til the next day, so buy two. Food matches: lamb grilled rare.
