It's no secret that I enjoy putting "cheap and cheerful" Burgundian Pinot's in my mouth! Under $20? Amazing! Ch-ch-ch-cherry of the succulent kind on both the mouth and palate with some earthiness of course, and lots of lively acidity. A dear French friend of mine made traditional Boeuf Bourguignon a couple of Christmases ago; I wish I had this wine to accompany it! |
 | Burgundy’s 2009 vintage was superb, particularly for red wines. Here’s a taste of that excellence at a jaw-dropping price. Pretty aromas and flavours of cherry, spiced plum and a hint of toffee. Elegant and lithe with medium body and a dry, balanced finish. Enjoy over the next 3 years. Source: Vintages Wine Panel |
