Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 7, January 4, December 16 and November 20.

Tasting note:

Love the hazelnut richness and green apple vibrancy that mingle on the nose of this wine! The palate is a rush of white peach, nectarine and nutmeg with refreshing lime acidity on the finish. I love the back story on this wine: it was named in honour of the winery's accountant of 30 years, Miles Summers. His sun will never set with this wine. Food matches: roast chicken, lobster in butter, corn dishes.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Mark Britton rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Look out for Australian Chardonnay's over the next few years starting with this Grant Burge. Now a general list at the LCBO. Some sour notes but balanced with med-high acidity and ripe lemon and apple flavours. Great old world style Chardonnay.
THE FRUIT
Grant selects his fruit from prime cool climate vineyards with the fruit
picked from both his Summers vineyard in Eden Valley and the equally
cool climate of the Adelaide Hills. The 2010 vintage has proven excellent
for aromatic varieties from cooler wine regions, with an even ripening
period allowing the fruit to develop delicate aromatic characters while
maintaining fine acidity.
THE WINEMAKING
The fruit was chilled and whole bunch pressed, with 80% of the
wine fermented in a combination of new, one, two and three year
old French oak hogsheads with the remainder fermented in stainless
steel to add freshness to the wine. Maturation was carried out in
the same oak hogsheads for 12 months, with regular lees stirring to
enhance the structure of the wine prior to bottling.
The 2010 Summers Chardonnay is an elegant
wine, displaying all of the classic traits of cool climate
Chardonnay. Bright gold in colour, the wine presents
delicate aromas of citrus, white peaches and spice. The
palate exhibits incredible balance, with the fruit flavours
fully integrated with lime acidity and a hint of creaminess
provided by the lees stirring. The balance creates a wine with
superb length and refinement.
Food matches such as spiced quail, roasted pork loin
with fennel or seafood gumbo allow the 2010 Summers
Chardonnay to fully express itself.
