Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: This wine is like bottled sunshine. In the sun-drenched desert region of San Juan, run-off streams flow down from the Andes Mountains soothing the otherwise scorching-hot vineyards and irrigating the vines. The abundant sun exposure makes for ripe, mouth-filling Cabernet Sauvignon with plush tannins and intense flavors. Graffigna’s 2006 Centenario explodes with blackberry, cassis, dark chocolate and mocha notes. My note: A rugged, muscular wine with blackberry, currant, mocha aromas and feral undernote. A country kitchen table wine. Food matches: grilled rib steaks topped with caramelized shallots, peking duck, lamb ragout with roasted sweet peppers, pork tenderloin with a gorgonzola sauce.
