Pleasant and smooth with aromas of plums. Not too oaky or alcoholic; balanced. Food matches: grilled lamb chops, veal medallions in a red wine sauce.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Bre Paszkat rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

A delightful Merlot with a brilliant garnet colour that offers berry and vanilla on the nose. The wine is ageing nicely, and the fruit is transforming to layers of plum, dark cherry, leather, spice and pepper on your palate. The french oak ageing is apparent. The tannin's are dominant and cellaring another 2-5 years will soften it. I would serve it with grilled lamb shanks, with a creamy mushroom risotto.
Intense red cherry, strawberry and spice aromas rise from the glass. Very fruity on the palate with particularly rich strawberry notes. Very smooth, crisp and focused with more spice and a lingering flavourful finish. A suitably elegant wine, whose flavours soar as effortlessly as the magnificent creature for which it is named.
