Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Drink Wine and Giggle Gals rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The Drink Wine and Giggle Gals were first introduced to Errazuriz Max Reserva Syrah on New Year's Eve 2007. We loved it. Along with Lynne's little black dress cut a tad too low that she paired with an unfortunate choice of zebra lingerie that shone like a beacon of bad taste in every photo taken that evening, Errazuriz Max Reserva Syrah was memorable. A rich red at a reasonable price that will complement any similarly carnivorous dish, it's a great restaurant selection. Subsequent introductions to other members of the Errazuriz family have been similarly positive. A meaty wine at a decent price.
Bright ruby-red in colour, with an expressive nose that shows sweet spices
such as cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg that come from the oak barrels and
heighten the wine’s fresh fruit profi le, while light meaty and balsamic touches
lend complexity. The smooth palate has fi ne tannins that create a fi rm but
friendly attack and fl avours that confi rm the aromatic profi le, dominated by
the sweet spices and red and black fruits. An excellent acidity
promises a long life ahead in the bottle.
