This bourbon hits you at the beginning with vanilla aromas and spice before smoothing out with a hint of sweetness and then I tasted the charred barrel - I love tasting the charred barrel.

 | Taste: surging oaks on delivery. Then a backing off to allow a more measured, mildly molasses sweetness to interlink with some orangey citrus. Finish: slow spice arrival, a brushing of hickory and some developing rye fruitiness. Overall balance and complexity: beautiful bourbon from the school of complex shades and inferences.
