Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. Vintage Conditions:
In the Ribera del Duero, the weather conditions for the 2007 harvest were mainly characterised by high temperatures during the month of August, followed by a slightly cooler September, which was beneficial for the ripening of the grapes.

Winemaking:
Slow fermentation, at controlled temperatures, in stainless steel tanks of 31,500 litres and daily pumping-over to ensure greater extraction of flavours. Malolactic fermentation was then carried out. After fermentation, the wine remains on American oak for 12 months.

Tasting notes:
Durón Crianza is a wine with clean and brillant intensity of red-bluish colour. On the nose and palate, you can find a harmonius mingling of ripe fruit and toasted oak, liquorice and eucalyptus which provide this wine great complexity.
