Mix of grape-oak aromas from the cork. Elegant and complex bouquet of lilacs, earth. forest floor and blackberry. Dry and medium-full bodied with more dark fruits on palate. Has a medium-length, smooth finish with mocha notes. Refined tannins are well-integrated. Good acidity and well-balanced. It's yummy and will go really well with tonight's meal: Chicken Shawarma. Tasted Nov/2012.
Gold Medal winner at the 2009 Concours des Vins de Loire. A terrific Cabernet Franc with a deep ruby/purple colour. Aromas suggest blackberry, forest floor, cherry-mocha, violets and earth. Dry, with great fruit and powerful tannins to match. Fresh acid brings the whole package together. This is one beautifully made, intense Cab Franc. Age it 2-4 years or enjoy it tonight.
