 | The Tannat-based wines of Madiran are not on everyone’s radar but this gem is well worth discovering and a bargain to boot. Sourced from 20-year-old vines, this wine has a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon thrown in for added complexity. The nose is expressive with rich black fruits, spices and a hint of game meat. It’s very dry, with a medium body, fine tannins, a core of black fruit and a hint of pepper. A charming wine to enjoy. Source: Vintages Wine Panel |
