Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: This wine won a Gold Medal at the Concours Général Agricole in Paris in 2010. The Saumur region is particularly noted for their terrific Cabernet Francs. A bright purple colour and a floral, cherry-infused nose make way for peppery flavours of plum, black raspberry, black cherry and cassis. There’s good balance here, and serious length. My note: Juicy purple plums and blackberries. Savoury, full-bodied and delicious. This is a great wine for book club gatherings. Food matches: savoury vegetable stew, ham in a rosemary-mustard sauce.
