Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 7, January 4, December 16 and November 20.

Tasting note:

Juicy and full-bodied ... the flavour sneaks up to you in the most delicious way. Black and purple fleshy-ripe plum aromas. The wine was aged 21 months in American and French oak to give a toasty vanilla-smoke finish. Food matches: osso bucco with gremolata, beef burgundy, hard and salty cheeses, roast prine rib with mushroom ragout.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Matt Loney rated this wine as 90/100
Single vineyard Malbec harvested October 7th, 2007 from the Niagara Lakeshore area, blended with 2007 Queenston Road Reserve Shiraz blend from the St. David’s Bench sub-appellation. This Shiraz/Malbec blend was inspired by a grape combo occasionally seen coming out of warmer climate new world wine regions.
Both wines were vinified separately, with each batch fermented in small one ton bins, with manual punchdown of the cap. Aged in oak barrels for 21 months.

Full bodied, with a slightly floral and spicy nose, flavours include, sage, black cherry, vanilla and black peppercorn.
