Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 7, January 4, December 16 and November 20.

Tasting note:

The wine was aged in 50% new American oak barrels and 50% seasoned French barrels. After the final blend was created, the wine was bottled under Stelvin closure. Great price for the classically built Cabernet. Alluring notes of black raspberry, black currant, mocha and cigar box. Full-bodied but supple with a lovely finish. Closed with a screwcap. Available at the winery. Food matches: grilled beef, tomato based pasta, medium to sharp cheeses, roasted pork dishes.
