Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: Named in homage to Thoreau, the Walden 2006 is a blend of Carignan and Grenache. Displaying an attractive bouquet of blackberry, raspberry and black pepper, it is fresh and inviting on the palate with berry flavors and spicy herbal notes, and a long finish. This is the perfect wine to serve at your summer evening wine and cheese party. My note: A simple and tasty red for alfresco dining. Food matches: French cheeses.
