Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: This property was purchased in 1977 by Marcel and Christian Quancard. Composed of 52% Merlot and 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, this ’05 won a Gold Medal at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris 2007. Look for aromas of gingerbread spice, plum and cassis on the nose and toasty oak on the finish. It can be aged for up to 10 years. My note: Suggests ripe blackberry, currants, cassis, and black cherry infused smoke on the nose. Violets and some graphite notes come through on the palate. Good framework from solid tannins and mouth-watering acidity. Long, satisfying finish. Food matches: roast leg of lamb, smoked pork chops, grilled tuna, spicy turkey sausage, grilled vegetables.
