Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: Located near the charming village of St-Laurent-Médoc on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, Château Tour Marcillanet focuses on the traditional blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. But somewhat atypically for a Left Bank appellation, this wine’s dominant grape is Merlot. Ripe, round and silky textured, this fruit-filled wine showcases the excellence of the 2005 vintage with fine form. My note: A robust, hulking wine with a great grip and dark berries on the palate. Smoky and oaky but balanced. This one needs time in the cellar.
