Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: A Silver Medal winner at the Concours des Vins des Vignerons Indépendants 2007, this wine is comprised of 55% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc. This stylish red from Bordeaux’s legendary 2005 vintage will pique dinner guests’ interest, and then hold it with its food-friendly black fruit and herbal/spice character. My note: You can’t beat the wines from the 2005 for value and terrific quality: it’s a vintage to stock up on for your cellar. This uptown wine is ideal for dinner parties involving a meat entrée: it’s stylish, complex and well-balanced. Aromas of cassis, blackberry and currant waft up from the glass. Full-bodied with excellent structure and length. Food matches: gourmet sausages, barbecued back ribs, roast lamb, mature cheeses.
