Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
 | VC: One of only 10 Cru Beaujolais, Chénas is noted for its class, perfume, and age-ability. It was the favorite wine of French king Louis XIII, and takes its name from the oak forests that once defined the landscape here. Delicate, spicy scents of pepper, black cherry and floral carry onto the palate, and garrigue notes give it added complexity. This is medium-bodied, with a soft, peppery, cherry-filled finish. Subtle and sophisticated, it’s still a wine fit for a king. |
