Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: La Causse is a blend of 71% Malbec, 19% Merlot and 10% Tannat. A wine such as this proves that Argentina does not have a stranglehold on Malbec. Château de Chambert finds ways to bring forth its vibrant earthy fruitiness while still maintaining Cahors’ structure. They add Merlot to fill in the fruit and the Tannat for structure and color. My note: A terrific summer sipper that won’t break the bank for informal gatherings and parties. Food matches: lamb chopsgame meats, bison steak.
