Celler De Capçanes Mas Donís Barrica Old Vines Garnacha Syrah 2007
Tasting note:
A lovely purple-coated wine with undernotes of brambleberry, blueberry and blackberry. This wine is a blend of 85% Garnacha (vines are more than 80 years old) and 15% Syrah. The wine was matured eight months in French and American oak, and bottled without fining and filtration. Full-bodied and terrific!

Awesome juice. Smoke, earth, flowers, blackberry on the nose and palate. Hugely dense. A flashy wine. Clove and graphite on the finish. Drink now through 2013. 90 Points. (ottawwinejournal.com) |
