Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 7, January 4, December 16 and November 20.

Tasting note:

Juicy, meaty and savoury with gorgeous layers of tart blackberries and a touch of beetroot and black raspberry. Full-bodied and delicious. Food matches: grilled pork tenderloin.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Over the past 20 years, we've experimented with oak. A lot. And what we discovered is full-bodied red wines need at least 18 months in it to age properly - a decision that sits well with our palates and less well with our accountant. Fortunately, we're not aging wine for our accountant's pleasure, but for yours. We smell Raspberry and a little beetroot. We taste Blackberry and chocolate.
