Cave De Tain Esprit De Granit Saint-Joseph Syrah 2005
Tasting note:
Vintages Wine Panel: Saint-Joseph is one of Northern Rhône’s true gems. Generally produced from 100% Syrah
(although producers may add up to 10% of the white grapes Roussanne and Marsanne), Saint-Joseph wines are well-regarded for their fruit-forward blackberry intensity and attractive pepper
tones. My note: Terrific nose of cassis, black raspberry, and cranberry. A hedonistically ample texture and weight with a great finish. Food matches: rich lamb, beef stroganoff, barbecued ribs, fruit chutneys, cassoulet, steak fajitas.
