Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: Looking for southern Rhône elegance all wrapped up in New World charm? Then the Cathedral Cellar Shiraz is your one-stop shop. Filled with blackberry, black pepper and new leather nuances, this wine is a terrific value that will work with everything. My note: I love this producer! Savoury, mouth-watering juicy black fruit with layers of succulent berries and plums. Food matches: beef stews, pastas, beef, lamb.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Dan Trcka rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This nicely aromatic, medium to full bodied wine has integrated notes of pine, violets, vanilla and black cherry. At opening the bouquet consists of violets and vanilla only to be replaced by strong pine notes, which are quite overwhelming at this time, but should tone down in a few years or so. After about an hour of opening, the pine notes tone down and black cherry and other dark fruit reveals itself. The tannins are subtle to refined (can be drunk shortly after opening) and the finish is long. This wine will be at its best around 2013-14 and should age well till 2020. My impression: BEAUTIFUL. Tasted Mar/10.
