Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
 | Deep ruby-red. Spicy aromas of floral red cherry, quinine, pink peppercorn and fresh herbs. Enters richer and deeper than the Nicalo, with ripe red cherry and red berry flavors lifted by aromatic herbs. Finishes clean and long, but this still needs a lot of time to express itself. A very good Valpolicella Ripasso that does not aim at being a cheap Amarone knock-off but has a Valpolicella dignity all its own. From a selection of grapes from different hillside vineyards than those that give the grapes for the Nicalo. Score: 90 Source: Ian D’Agata, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar |
