Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 7, January 4, December 16 and November 20.

Tasting note:

This supple, rich, full-bodied red is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon but there's also some Shiraz and Malbec grapes in the blend. Aromas of cocoa and cassis seduce the senses. Incredibly great price.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:

Nice and smoky
Dan Trcka rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The 2011 Caliterra Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva, composed of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec that was aged in oak for 10 months, has intense aromas of toasted oak, smoke, dates, prune, dark chocolate, black cherry and vanilla. It is an extra-dry, full-bodied, fruity to integrated wine; with good acidity, refined tannins and medium to long finish. This wine goes well with food (grilled meats) or can be enjoyed by itself; drink now – 2018+ (screw cap). My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 89 pts – for $10 this wine over-delivers; recommended for its quality and value. I have the 2008 vintage in my ‘cellar’ and it has been aging beautifully. Tasted at Churchill Cellars Portfolio tasting May/13.

In terms of quality for our Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva, this shall be an excellent year since the fruit was able to ripen in practically optimum conditions, under a serene sun and fresh breezes that kept a slow yet constant concentration of aromas and flavors that are bountiful in the glass. This Cabernet has superb fruit expression, berry fruit flavour and earthy notes. Good roundness in the mouth and excellent balance with freshness makes this medium-bodied wine a real winner.
