Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: Bodega Benegas, whose winemaking endeavors are blessed by legendary consultant Michel Rolland, are known for creating elegant wines in a uniquely Argentine style. The Luna, named for owner Federico J. Benegas Lynch’s daughter saw its inaugural vintage in 2006. This unoaked Cab displays all the elegance and finesse typical of the estate, with ripe blackcurrant and blackberry highlighted by eucalyptus notes. My note: Opens with ripe blackberry, pepper, cassis and blackcurrant. There’s a tremendous purity of fruit expression here that’s not covered up with oak. Old World balance and complexity at play. Food matches: beef stew, barbecued beef rivs, shepherd's pie, bison steak, lasagne.
