Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: May 22, March 7, January 4 and December 16.

Tasting note:

Full-bodied, earthy and dry. Classic Old World style, not fruit-forward. Some dark spices on the finish makes it ideal for hearty meat dishes. Food matches: grilled lamb, chicken kebabs.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Dan Trcka rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

If you are thinking about getting this wine, you gotta love tannins and lots of them. This light bodied, nicely aromatic wine has integrated notes of red currant, cedar and liquorice. It is tannic (decant for longer than 1 hour) and has a medium finish. This one should be laid away for few years at least, but judging by the light body, I am not sure it is worth it (but I am probably wrong). I actually am a fan of wines with tannins that are refined or tannic (firm) and my impression was: NICE, 88 pts. Tasted Aug/10.
A wine with deep red colour, typical aromatic character of Xinomavro, cedar, olive, tomato juice, spices and mint. In the mouth it is balanced full-bodied with good acidity and sweet flavour of vanilla, cocoa, berry surrounded by the oak barrel.

Xinomavro is the dominant red grape in northern Greece. It is the most important, if not the sole grape variety, in appellations like Naoussa, Goumenissa, Rapsani and Amyndeon. Xinomavro can produce wines of great character, breathtaking complexity that have the ability to age and complement food. Their complex aromas combine such red fruits as gooseberry with hints of olives, spices and dried tomatoes.
