This wine is made from organically grown grapes. It’s savoury with dark brooding berries. Smoke wraps around the core. Full-bodied and balanced.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Dan Trcka rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Nice Californian Syrah. This FRUITY to integrated, full bodied wine has notes of raspberry, red currant, blackberry and vanilla. Tannins are refined to tannic (decant for 15 min) and the finish is silky with a medium to long length. It is good now till 2013/14 (don't let the fruit dissipate). My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 90 pts - a recommended buy. Tasted May/10.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Blackberry, blueberry, pepper, chocolate, on the nose and palate with black raspberry cream on the finish. Delightful now. 88 points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Extraordinarily rich in briary flavours of wild blackberries, licorice, cocoa and pepper, this Syrah has the added virtue of finishing dry. Although it’s a bit soft, it’s a beauty, especially at this price. Source: Steve Heimoff, Wine Enthusiast
