Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: Winner of a Silver Medal at the 2009 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. This 100% Tempranillo has a wonderful deep ruby colour. Engaging aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, and sweet cedar delight the nose. Dry with plush tannins and ripe blackberry and stone fruit on the palate. My note: Well-structured and robust Rioja with big, fleshy, ripe black fruit, smoke and earth. This wine was aged for 12 months in oak. Terrific price! Food matches: spicy paella, Thai dishes, slow-roasted lamb, beef tenderloin topped with cherry sauce, barbeque chicken.
